The 'Grand Professional is the choice of many leading symphonies, high school ensembles and universities. The 'Grand Professional' offers you the widest range of tonal possibilities. The kettle The kettle is available in famous German deep cambered style or the parabolic model. These freely suspended kettles produce a totally undistinguished and undistorted tone with a superlative resonance. The kettle are created from seamless red copper. Form and depth are carefully calculated. The 'Grand Professional' timpani are also available with cambered fiberglass kettles, cambered or parabolic copper polished kettles, cambered or parabolic copper antique coated kettles and cambered or parabolic copper polished handhammered kettles. Pedal, legs & castors The pedal system of the 'Grand Professional' is a perfectly balanced spring mechanism and allows you to change pitch with a touch of your feet. The balance spring is fully adjustable with an adjusting knob on the base plate. The base plate has two large breaking front castors and two small permanent castors under the tuning pedal. Heads and frame The 'Grand Professional' frame is made of light aluminium. All AJAX timpani are standard fitted with 'Remo Renaissance' custom series timpani heads with insert rings. The tuning gauge The 'Grand Professional' tuning gauge is accurate, reliable and fully adjustable. The gauge is placed in front of the player for fast and precise tuning in line with the conductor.
