Now we are proud to present you a wonderful sounding timpani, that gives musicians from countries like the United Kingdom and France, who prefer the blocking system, the opportunity the purchase a Grand Symphonic timpani for the same price as the Grand Professional. Ajax gives you... the Standard Symphonic! The kettle The kettle is available in two versions; the famous German deep cambered style or a lightweight fiberglass kettle. The kettle is created from top quality seamless red copper. The bearing edge of the freely suspended copper kettle is taped with Teflon for smooth and quiet adjustments. All copper timpani kettles are produced in our factory in Amsterdam. Pedal, legs & castors With unbelievable smoothness the foot pedal places you in command of the 'Standard Symphonic'. The perfect blocking system ensures that the pedal always remains in the desired position. The 'Standard Symphonic' is very suitable for use with calfskin heads. Heads and frame The frame construction of the 'Standard Symphonic' is very solid. The whole frame ensures the instruments stability during transport. The 'Standard Symphonic' has three wheels, two on the rear and one on the player's side. A modern braking system prevents the wheels from turning and rotation. The 'Standard Symphonic' is very suitable for use with calfskin heads. By default the 'Standard Symphonic' timpani are fitted with our 'Remo USA Renaissance' heads. The tuning gauge The 'Standard Symphonic' tuning gauge is accurate, reliable and fully adjustable. The gauge is placed in front of the player for fast and precise tuning in line with the conductor.
